Personal care can cover the following: bathing and showering including bed-baths, applying lotions and creams as required, dressing and getting ready for bed, oral hygiene, applying make-up and hair care, supporting with shaving, foot care, helping you to the toilet including using a commode or a bed pan, changing continence pads along with cleaning and refreshing private areas, changing or maintaining a stoma or a catheter bag.

Medication management is addressed to anyone who takes medication under the supervision of a healthcare professional. Care staff may be required to prompt, assist or administer medicines. Staff should be clear of the difference between these roles. 

People usually experience loneliness and isolation. Sometimes all that’s needed is a bit of a company, a cup of tea and a chat, or a walk around the garden.

Some household tasks are accepted such as: food and drinks preparation, light cleaning including laundry and linen changing, hoovering, washing dishes, rubbish out and dust bin out.

Getting out, our carers can accompanying you out to meet friends or a relative, in the community, to GP`s or hospitals appointments, to do shopping, to a day center. 

Blocks of hours over the hole day or only a couple of hours, sits over the night like sleep in nights, when carers are able to sleep or waking nights when carers will stay awake all night long to assist you with your needs.
